Patrick Von Bargen Joins Quinn Gillespie & Associates
Newest Addition Bolsters Firm’s Capabilities in Energy and Financial Sectors
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Quinn Gillespie & Associates (QGA) is pleased to announce that Patrick Von Bargen has joined the firm as a director. In this role, Patrick will provide senior leadership on client issues and political activities.
Patrick joins QGA after having served in major public policy roles over 17 years in Washington, including as Chief of Staff to Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-NM) from 1987 to 1999 and Managing Executive for Policy & Staff for Chairman William H. Donaldson (R-NY) at the Securities & Exchange Commission from 2003 to 2005. He also headed the National Commission on Entrepreneurship and served as Vice President of the Council on Competitiveness, the only national organization whose membership is comprised exclusively of CEOs, university presidents, and labor leaders focused on American economic competitiveness issues.
Patrick’s experience covers a range of public policy areas from clean energy technology development and deployment to the operation and regulation of the financial markets.
"Patrick is particularly well-suited to bring together new players in the innovation economy, as well as established energy and environmental interests, and the policy makers in the legislative and executive branches of the federal and state government who will be spending a great deal of time resolving the challenges we face in the energy area and in preserving our environment," said Jack Quinn, Chairman, Quinn Gillespie & Associates. "He will truly be an asset to the QGA team."
Patrick’s private sector career has given him extraordinary insights into the innovation economy. He had a distinguished career in law representing start-up technology companies and venture capital firms and then served three years as CEO of the Center for Venture Education’s Kauffman Fellows Program in Silicon Valley – the premier education and networking institute for new junior and senior venture capitalists around the world.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Mr. Von Bargen earned a B.A. in History with Honors in Humanities, graduating summa cum laude from Stanford University, a J.D. from Stanford Law School, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. He is a member of the bar in the states of California and Colorado.
Quinn Gillespie & Associates (QGA) was founded in 2000 by Jack Quinn, former White House Counsel to President Bill Clinton and Chief of Staff to Vice President Al Gore, Ed Gillespie, former Republican National Committee Chairman, and Jeff Connaughton, former Clinton White House lawyer and staff assistant to Senator Joe Biden.
